The Data Hive is our central place for sharing complaint data and insights about phone and internet services in Australia. It brings together our published reports, complaint data and analysis to make this information easier to access and understand.

Through the Data Hive, you can explore how complaints are changing over time, what issues people are experiencing, and how we resolve them. It is designed to support transparency, build understanding and help drive improvements across the telecommunications industry.

Our approach

Our data comes directly from the complaints we handle. We use it to identify patterns, highlight issues affecting multiple consumers and work with providers to address them.

Sharing this information is an important part of our role. It helps improve industry practices, raise awareness of common issues and support a fair and effective complaints system for all Australians.

Quarter 3 2025–26 Complaints Data and Insights

These dashboards display the TIO's Quarter 3 (2025–26) complaints data. During the quarter, complaint volumes remained stable at 14,002, while more people sought compensation for financial loss and support for financial hardship. Mobile complaints also continued to rise, highlighting the impact that service disruptions can have on consumers.

    The TIO received 56,718 complaints in 2023–24, a 14.6% decrease from the previous year. While complaint volumes continued to decline, issues such as delayed provider action, service fees and service reliability remained key concerns for consumers.
