Submissions
The Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman regularly makes submissions to legislative inquiries, policy development and other regulatory reform processes.
Our focus is to inform Government, regulators and other policy makers about the complaints issues and systemic matters we see in the telecommunications industry, and where there may be particular emerging issues and trends, or opportunities for improvement relevant to the topic being consulted on.
Through our submissions, we provide information to policy makers, regulators and the public about the role of the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman and what we do. Our submissions may also refer to our complaints data, and relevant individual or systemic case studies and scenarios to illustrate the customer experience. Through this information, we may be able to highlight where a rule or Code protection, or the performance of industry could be improved so consumers are more adequately safeguarded.
We publish recent submissions here. If you would like to request a copy of a past submission, please email policy@tio.com.au.
