David Epstein and Gordon Renouf join TIO Board
The Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO) Limited welcomes two new members of its Board of Directors today.
David Epstein and Gordon Renouf joined as Directors after a recruitment process that began in late 2014.
“I welcome David Epstein and Gordon Renouf as new members of the Board of TIO Limited, and thank Michael Elsegood and Chris Dodds for their long service to the TIO,” Board Chair Patricia Faulkner said.
“The new Directors bring with them a wealth of experience in the telecommunications industry, public affairs, governance and the consumer movement,” Ms Faulkner added.
David Epstein, Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Regulatory at SingTel Optus is an experienced corporate affairs executive and company director whose career spans public and private sectors. He has been senior ministerial adviser to three Prime Ministers and Chief of Staff to one Prime Minister. He serves on the Boards of the European Australian Business Council and Opera Australia.
Gordon Renouf, who has been a consumer advocate for more than 25 years, is the founder and CEO of Ethical Consumers Australia, a social enterprise that aims to help consumers make choices that match their values. He is Deputy Chair of the Consumers Federation of Australia and Justice Connect, and Chair of Good Environmental Choice Australia, and a Member of the Banking Code Compliance and Monitoring Committee.
The Board of TIO Limited is chaired by an independent Director and comprises a balanced mix of Directors with industry and consumer experience, an independent Director with non-for-profit governance experience and an independent Director with commercial governance experience.
