Join the call for a Digital Platform Ombudsman

We all deserve real support when things go wrong online.

Digital platforms – like social media, search engines, email and streaming services – are now part of everyday life. We rely on them to stay connected, informed and get things done.

But when something goes wrong, it can be hard for people and small businesses to find help. Many are left without a clear, fair way to resolve their concerns.

Right now, the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO) cannot investigate or resolve complaints about digital platforms and online services – and there is no independent service that can.

We are calling on the Australian Government to expand the TIO into a Communications Ombudsman, so people can access free, independent help for both telecommunications and digital platform issues.
