A carrier wanted to access farmland to install concrete pits and underground cabling so it issued a notice, to which the landowner objected in writing.
The parties engaged in consultation; however, the landowner ultimately asked the carrier to refer its objections to the TIO. Both parties obtained legal representation at this point in the process.
While the matter was being actively considered by the TIO, both parties continued to engage in negotiations which led to the carrier withdrawing its notice, and the Ombudsman issuing a decision to stop handling the objection.
