The Board is seeking to appoint three new Directors due to vacancies arising in early 2017. Vacancies exist for a Director with consumer experience, an Independent Director with not-for-profit governance experience and a Director with industry experience.
- Candidates wishing to be considered for the role of Director with Consumer Experience must demonstrate a current link or links to either a community or consumer group representing users of telecommunications services, including individual or small business users; and/or a community or consumer group or agency representing public interest issues relevant to telecommunications services.
- Candidates wishing to be considered for the role of Independent Director with not-for-profit governance experience must demonstrate proven not-for-profit governance experience and expertise and must, in the opinion of the Board, be independent of telecommunications-related community and consumer groups, the telecommunications industry, government and other organisations and bodies such that they are not likely to have any substantive conflict of interest in fulfilling the role as a Director of TIO Limited.
- Candidates wishing to be considered for the role of Director with Industry Experience must demonstrate expertise in the telecommunications industry with the capacity and willingness to consult with Members of the TIO scheme.
The TIO Board meets between eight and 10 times a year, mostly in Melbourne.
Directors are remunerated and reasonable travel expenses to attend meetings will be reimbursed.
