Re-launch of the GCDRI program: Now a requirement for all TIO dispute resolution employees
All Dispute Resolution teams at the TIO will be completing the new course. They will begin with the first two new modules in the Communications unit, which involve a self-paced learning journey.
Beau Hourigan Johnston, Senior Lead, Learning & Development believes the course is a “fantastic” opportunity for employees to grow and develop their dispute resolution skills.
“This course is a big investment the organisation is making in our Dispute Resolution people,” Beau said. “Graduating with this certificate is something our people can take with them wherever they go. It's a great professional development opportunity and really reflects the organisation’s values of evolving and growing our people.”
The GCDRI course involves four units, each with their own modules. These are:
- Dispute Resolution
- Managing a dispute
Since the last graduate cohort in 2020, the TIO has been making improvements to the course to ensure the content is current and relevant, and the process of completing the course is more streamlined and simpler.
The GCDRI qualification was developed in conjunction with Box Hill Institute to provide more training for our employees and in turn, to improve our service. The first GCDRI qualification was developed in 2014, and our first cohort graduated in 2016.
