Ombudsman Simon Cohen to leave TIO

Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman Ltd today announced the departure of Ombudsman Simon Cohen after 5 years’ service as Ombudsman. 
Mr Cohen is leaving to take up the role of Deputy Secretary, Regulation and Director, Consumer Affairs Victoria, at the Department of Justice and Regulation in Victoria. 
“We congratulate Simon on his new appointment” said Patricia Faulkner AO, Chair of TIO Ltd.  “Simon has provided strong and steady leadership at the TIO during a time of enormous change within the telecommunications industry, and within the organisation itself.  He leaves a capable and adaptable TIO providing an excellent telecommunications dispute resolution service for the Australian community”.
Mr Cohen will leave TIO on Friday 7 August 2015.  The position of Ombudsman will be advertised in the near future.
