The telecommunications industry’s peak body, Communications Alliance has asked the TIO to invite members to comment on proposed revisions to Chapter 9 of the Telecommunications Consumer Protections (TCP) Code C628:2015. This chapter describes the Code Compliance Monitoring Framework of the TCP Code.
The proposed amendments seek to provide flexibility for smaller service providers in meeting their obligations under the Code by introducing an additional window to submit lodgement documentation to Communications Compliance.
The proposed amendments also introduce a requirement for suppliers bound by the TCP Code to register with Communications Alliance.
The draft document can be downloaded from the Communications Alliance website.
The public comment period closes at 5pm AEDT on 30 December 2015.
