Three new directors
Michael Elsegood has replaced Andrew Bedogni as the Optus representative on the TIO Board. Michael is the Manager, Regulatory Compliance and Safeguards, and has been involved with the Australian telecommunications industry for over 30 years.
Michael’s responsibilities include supervision of Optus’s quality of service reporting and its Disability Action Plan. He also manages Optus’s compliance to obligations that support law enforcement agencies and numbering matters.
Two new directors were elected to the TIO Board at the annual general meeting held on Thursday, December 7.
Steve Dalby, who is the General Manager, Regulatory from iiNet, will represent internet service providers.
Steve has been involved in the telecommunications industry for more than 30 years, including a long period with Telstra.
From 2003, Steve has been an executive with the iiNet Group, as well as CEO of Chime Communications, the group’s carrier subsidiary.
Brian Chapman, who is Regulatory Manager, Complaints, Fraud and Security with AAPT Limited, will represent telecommunications service providers other than Telstra, Optus or Vodafone.
The key focus of Brian’s current role is on managing the overall customer complaint experience with AAPT.
Brian has previous held senior management roles in the telecommunications industry responsible for business and operational performance reporting, information analysis and business improvement.
Steve and Brian replace Mark Graubner, and Rohan Doyle. The Chairman of the TIO Board, Mr John Rohan, expressed his thanks at the annual general meeting to Mark and Rohan for the valuable contributions they had made while directors. |
