Data retention obligations commence on 13 October 2015

The Attorney-General's Department has asked the TIO to distribute a letter from the Communications Access Co-ordinator (CAC), a statutory officer within the department, to its membership. The letter provides information to telecommunications service providers about the data retention obligations set out in the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Amendment (Data Retention) Act 2015, and attaches supporting guidance materials.
