Ombudsman Judi Jones gave evidence to the Joint Standing Committee on the National Broadband Network on Friday.
The TIO was a number of organisations invited to the Committee that also included the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACC) and nbn co.
The Committee is monitoring the introduction, operations and delivery of the NBN across the country.
Complaints about services delivered over the NBN represented 11.9% of all TIO complaints in the last financial year.
Key issues and questions for the Ombudsman included the collection of data, reporting and what consumers are telling the TIO. The TIO will be providing a written submission to the enquiry later this week. Further details can be found here.
