Claims for compensation under the Customer Service
Guarantee where long distance and local call providers are different
Where a customer's long distance and local call access are supplied
by different providers, and the customer is entitled to compensation
under the Telecommunications
(Customer Service Guarantee) Standard 2000 (No. 2), the TIO
will raise the complaint against the provider that charges line
rental fees (usually the local call provider), on the basis that
this provider is responsible for maintenance of the line.
